Movie #1251 (#69 this year): A Life At Stake(1954, Paul Guilfoyle)
Total crap. But I kinda liked it. This is the equivalent of one of those 1950s paperbacks that sold for 25 cents and had a lurid cover featuring a half naked woman holding a gun or knife. In this case, the half naked woman turns out to be Angela Lansbury (obviously at a low point in her career). The plot concerns a man living in a rooming house who is down on his luck. Then a lawyer drops in with an offer that's too good to be true. All he has to do is sign for this life insurance policy..............
Lousy acting and lousy direction make this one a fun 75 minutes.
