Movie #2378: The Taking Of Pelham 1-2-3 (2009, Tony Scott)
Since I watched the original a couple of weeks back I figured I should check out the new one as well.
It's much the same. They've added a few things to get it up to date: some religion, some hi-tech, extra gun play. Kinda miss Walter Matthau though. Looks like they had trouble with the NY subway system as they actually showed the trains going in slow motion to indicate speed!
All in all, exciting show. But it begs the question: If a movie was really good the first time, why remake it? Why not remake crap movies so that they can be fixed up and the errors made on the original corrected?
