Book #428: The Wounded And The Slain (1955, David Goodis)
One of the more obscure novels of David Goodis now out on "Hard Case". It starts out great with a first person account of the life of an alcoholic. However, the plot that unfolds from there isn't very believable. From someone other than Goodis, a person might rave but we expect more from him.
