Movie #1755: Drunken Angel (1948, Akira Kurosawa)
This one kind of reminds me of a silent movie. Those close ups of faces with exaggerated expressions. All very impressive but the plot does move rather slowly.

I bought this one to take to Vegas with me but brought it back unread. I started reading it on Canada Day so you can see it wasn't exactly a page turner. It turns out that this was volune 2 in a 3 volume history of the Hudson's Bay Company. Lots of interesting info in this one.
