Movie #2599: Day Of The Outlaw (1959, Andre De Toth)

Title tells nothing. It's calvary officer Burl Ives who's the bad guy (sorta) and rancher Robert Ryan who's the good guy (sorta). Endless shades of gray in this telling of The Petrified Forest gone western. The whole thing is executed to perfection but I think we'll have to give the kudos to Mr De Toth (based on past performance).
