Day #21,320

Today's Walk: Juyoh Hotel to Asakusa (and return)

Sunday afternoon strollers at the Senso-ji temple
aprox km1900 Asakusa Tokyo

Today's Movie: Gentleman's Agreement (1947,Elia Kazan)

Took some time off from doing the tourist bit to watch a nice Sunday afternoon movie. Finding Japanese movies with English sub-titles proved to be too hard so I went with another Hollywood blockbuster that for some reason I'd never seen before.
Couldn't really get behind this one. Was it too much like shooting fish in a barrel? Was it Elia Kazan's conduct a few years later in front of the House Un-American Activities Committee? And why such a sad ending for Celeste Holm's character?
