Movie #2017: Pale Flower (1964, Masahiro Shinoda)
Plenty of style but not much substance. It's all yakuza vs yakuza so nobody to root for.
Yakuza guy is worried about his "girlfriend" who is starting to use drugs for kicks. He lets her watch him kill someone to show her that there are better kicks than drugs.
