Movie #1609: It Happened In Hollywood (1937, Harry Lachman)
Sure is great to see one of the old B pictures in prime condition. The reason? Seems one of the three screenwriters was none other than future big time director Sam Fuller. So, Sony Pictures has rescued this one and added it to their 7 DVD Sam Fuller box set. Richard Dix is a silent cowboy star who can't make the transition to talkies and is soon down on his luck. Pretty sappy but you can see they were at least trying to make something worthwhile out of it.
