Book #370: Cat Chaser (1982, Elmore Leonard)
I was kinda disappointed by this one. It ain't Mr Leonard's fault though. It's not a bad book. But the opening chapter where the guy checks into a Florida motel with a six-pack instead of luggage reminded me of the king of Florida crime novelists: Charles Willeford. Nobody can match old Charlie. Nice try Mr Leonard but it just ain't the same thing.
