Movie #1594: Sabita Naifu (1958, Toshio Masuda)
Superior yakuza drama marred only by the lead actor Yujiro Ishihara who doesn't seem quite right for the part of the former yakuza who now wants revenge.
Nothing new here in the plot of the police not being able to find anyone to testify against the local mobsters. Routine plot but well executed.
More contemporary soul/funk I found on eMusic today.
