Movie #1694: Don't Knock The Rock (1956, Fred F Sears)
Anti-rock'n'roll movie masquerading as a pro-rock'n'roll movie. Alan Freed and some washed up crooner named Alan Dale try to convince the adults that rock'n'roll is OK because it's just as boring as the fads of yesterday. Yech!
Some nice scenes with Bill Haley & The Comets especially their version of "Rip It Up". However, the guy who wrote "Rip It Up" (Little Richard) is kind of disappointing because he seems uncomfortable lip syncing.
